Where We Fish
From technical rivers and spring creeks to large, powerful systems flowing from the mountains to the sea.

Fishing Destination
Brown trout · Sea-run brown trout
The Río Penitente is a medium-sized river flowing through the open Patagonian steppe, offering classic trout water with a wide variety of structures and fishing approaches. It is primarily a brown trout fishery, with the added presence of sea-run brown trout migrating upriver from the Atlantic during certain periods of the season.
One of the Penitente's strengths is its versatility. Depending on conditions, it can be effectively fished with dry flies, nymphs, or streamers, using single-hand rods, as well as switch or micro-Spey setups. Success on this river comes from reading the water and adjusting techniques to wind, flow, and fish behavior.

Born in Lago del Toro, inside Torres del Paine National Park, the Río Serrano flows west toward the fjords of Última Esperanza, forming one of southern Patagonia's most iconic large-river fisheries.
The main attraction of the Serrano is the Chinook (King) salmon, which enter the system from the ocean during the summer months. These powerful fish are the stars of the show, offering a true big-water experience. The river also holds resident brown trout and sea-run brown trout throughout the season.
Due to its size, current, and often windy conditions, the Serrano is ideally suited for two-hand (full Spey) fly fishing. For anglers with little or no fly-fishing experience, we also offer the option to fish with spinning rods using spinners and spoons.

Fishing Destination
Brown trout · Brook trout
We have access to a handful of spring creek fisheries spread across the region — near Puerto Natales, Torres del Paine, and the Río Penitente area. These waters offer a more technical and intimate fishing experience, with clear flows, subtle currents, and frequent sight-fishing opportunities.
Spring creeks in this area are home mainly to brown trout and brook trout, and reward anglers who enjoy precision, careful presentation, and adapting to changing conditions.
Please note: wind is a constant factor in southern Patagonia. For this reason, we generally recommend 5–6 wt rods, which perform well across all destinations and conditions.

Fishing Destination
Brown trout · Landlocked Coho salmon (Lago Sofía)
Our stillwater fisheries offer a different pace of fishing, targeting trout from the boat in wide, open landscapes surrounded by mountains and big skies. While streamers and sinking lines are commonly used, there are days when trout can be found feeding along the shoreline, creating exciting opportunities to fish dry flies in calm conditions.
These lakes are primarily brown trout fisheries, with Lago Sofía standing out for its population of landlocked Coho salmon, adding a unique dimension to the stillwater experience.
